Walkies In Bad Weather – Be Prepared Afterwards
This is a truly ghastly time of year when it comes to keeping the house or office nice and clean. It’s especially grim if there are dogs to be exercised. I know that when my daughter takes her dogs out for their morning romps, this weather plays havoc when they get home. The dogs are only allowed to enter and leave their property via the utility room which doubles as a boot and mud room for a reason! It’s very near the outside tap with the large stable hose attached . . . and the utility does have a fantastic double sink with easy to operate ever taps and moving spout. Just right for hosing down the wellies, dogs, and a miriad of other things that go walkies on a regular basis. The room has to be sponged down very often – they have a good system of getting the dogs back into their day crates to simmer down when they return from the fields. This gives the owners a fighting chance to mop up very loose rainy spots and then concentrate on mopping up the plastered on mud spatters on everything else within a 2 mile radius! Brushing off the loose dry mud first is the key, then mopping down with a well wrung out cloth soaked in a higher end general cleaner .
