The Need For Pristine Clean Whites In SW19

I am currently listening to the mens’ singles final at the most prestigious tennis tournament in the world. That funny little part of south west London that is the byeword in absolute sporting and behavoural perfection. It is wonderful to note that all the contestants have to abide by strictly applied dress rules. All playing outfits must be white. Very little colour allowed, the odd sponsor logo, but sparkling white is mandatory. It all looks so clean, even when we have a tremendously hot week, and they are sinking under gallons of perspiration and sweat. The colourful towels feature a different pattern every year and are much prized amongst contestants. Their mopping up abilities are legendary. With good reason!
The cleaning up around such a huge operation would be a logistical nightmare – so many washrooms and showers. But of course, it is carried out to the highest possible standard and we remain head and shoulders above other lesser mortals!
