Improving The Housewife’s Modus Operandi
I always thought I was a fairly clean living person. Nowhere near perfect but I don’t think anyone would turn their nose up and refuse to eat in my house. However, the need to keep hands and bodies so much healthier these days has made me question my modus operandi around the home, that’s for sure. I now try very hard to really clean up during meal preparation; in fact I try to limit how many implements I actually use so there’s less to wash up. I have a good dishwasher but I very often start washing up at the sink and kick myself afterwards. It’s so much more cost effective to fill the dishwasher and do a load every 2 or 3 days than to run gallons of water to get a bowlful of hot and then just do one meal’s worth. I also try to make myself dry up and put crockery away immediately and empty all rubbish and recycling as soon as possible so nothing is lurking that can introduce more germs. Hand washing and constant bleaching of work cloths is my mainstay!
