After the lovely relaxed months during summer, there is probably an inclination to leave some of the less regular cleaning chores ‘for a rainy day’.  There is always that niggling feeling that spending too much time on cleaning up and tidying around the place, somehow it is a shame that the good weather is not being enjoyed fully and perhaps we ought to be out there doing just that.  For the most part the idea works quite well.  We have our hours in the sunshine, be it on the patio, out with colleagues on an an extended lunch at the pub.  Eventually the time comes however when it is noticed that perhaps things have slipped in the cleaning and hygiene standards of the happy homestead or office.
